Dr. Amanda Quintal was born in New York, but considers herself a Florida native since moving to South Florida with her family at a very young age. Dr. Quintal has always had a fascination for science and medicine growing up. After graduating from UCF (“Go Knights!”) with her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, it did not take long for her to pursue a career integrating her love of animals with her passion for medicine. She earned her veterinary degree at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and moved back to her home in the Sunshine State soon after graduation. She is dedicated to educating and enhancing the experiences owners have with their pets, who she considers a vital part of the family. She has special interests in preventative care, animal behavior, the human-animal bond, dermatology, and geriatric care.
In her down time, Dr. Quintal enjoys a good cup of coffee, getting lost in a book, enjoying game nights, concerts, and escape rooms with friends and family, and traveling around the world exploring various cultures and cuisines with her husband.
