Diagnosing Early Gives your Pet a Fighting Chance

In these tough economic times, we find ourselves making difficult decisions with regards to just about everything in our lives. This includes our health and that of our beloved pets. In our case, we can feel and verbalize what our symptoms are, and based on those we make decisions as to how seriously we want to take those. When it comes to our pets, they might not “tell you”, but they will show you when they are not feeling well. When it comes to your pet’s health, never dismiss changes in attitude or activity as just happenstance, and always contact your veterinarian if any of the following symptoms are present: 1. Sneezing 2. Coughing 3. Vomiting 4. Diarrhea 5. Seizing 6. Lameness

Any of these could present for a series of very serious conditions, and in those cases, the chances of successfully treating such conditions increase dramatically if diagnose sooner rather than later. In addition, frequent wellness visits to your veterinarian, at least annually, will give you a better pulse on your pet’s overall health, allowing you to make a more educated decision when these symptoms present themselves. Keep the lines of communication open with your preferred veterinarian and together, you will have a better chance at keeping your pets healthy, longer.
