Orlando, FL – June 24, 2011 – Alafaya Trail and Corrine Drive Animal Hospitals will host a series of events benefiting local area non-profit organizations. The events will be held on July 23rd at Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital, in Oviedo Florida, and July 30th at Corrine Drive Animal Hospital, in Orlando Florida. On these dates, each hospital will open for business as usual; however, all proceeds generated from services will be donated to organizations that have impacted the local community. New Horizons Service Dogs Inc, Friends of Fleet Peeples Park, Greyhound Pets of America-Orlando, and Runway to Hope are the organizations that will be highlighted at each event. Representatives will be on-site to share information about each group’s mission, goals, and impact.

“Dr. Enrique Duprey and Dr. Jessica Lannes have a real commitment to making a positive impact in the local community and have started what will hopefully turn into an annual event benefitting causes they support and believe in.” said Andy Ignacio, Business Manager for both hospitals.

The charities involved where selected based on the parallels that exist between the organization’s goals and those values Dr. Duprey and Dr. Lannes view as the core of their business.

New Horizons is an amazing organization that partners specially trained dogs with the disabled. Greyhound Rescue of North America is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding the right family to adopt and care for an amazing breed in need. Friends of Fleet Peeples Park, is an organization dedicated to making sure that our pets in the Downtown Orlando area have a safe and available space to enjoy the outdoors in “The City Beautiful.” Runway to Hope is an organization that serves and provides direct support to the children and families in Central Florida community who have been impacted by pediatric cancer. Each of these charities provides an immeasurable service to the target groups that they represent.

These non-profit organizations promote wellness, compassion for others, responsible pet ownership, and understand the amazing complexity and benefits of the human animal bond. These qualities form the foundation of Alafaya Trail and Corrine Drive Animal Hospitals and are the reason that Dr. Lannes and Dr. Duprey have such a passion for what they do everyday.
